I've used the Gita to tell my children and grandchildren hire to regard marks that are not to their expectation, how to prepare their mind for exams etc. When they are faced with moral doubts, I give examples from it. If you want to learn something on how to solve your problems and dilemma, read the Gita. I too am faced with dilemmas - is it my duty to prevent corruption or prevent an evil person from coming to power?
